CBS Announces New Series “Matlock,” “NCIS: Origins” and “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.”

CBS has released videos that preview the future of several new shows, including Matlock, NCIS: Originsand the new Big Bang Theory/Sheldon Universe prequel series, Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage.

MATLOCK (Thursday, 9:00 p.m.)

Matlock– a reimagining of the classic TV series of the same name – Kathy Bates stars as the brilliant septuagenarian Madeline “Matty” Matlock, who, after achieving success at a young age, decides to rejoin a prestigious law firm, where she employs her unpretentiousness Behavior and cunning tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within.

Matty is assigned to Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a senior lawyer and important rainmaker with a thirst for justice, while Olympia’s ex-husband Julian (Jason Ritter), the company boss’s son, is fascinated by Matty’s clever abilities. Matty teams up with the firm’s younger associates – the charismatic Billy (David Del Rio) and the fiercely ambitious Sarah (Leah Lewis) – as she tries to establish herself in her new, high-stakes world.

NCIS: ORIGINS (Monday, 10 p.m.)

NCIS: Origins follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years before the events of NCIS, and is narrated and executive produced by Mark Harmon. In the series, Gibbs begins his career as a newly minted special agent in the young NCIS office at Camp Pendleton, where he earns his place in a tough team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

The cast also includes Mariel Molino as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Sullivan and Diany Rodriguez as Special Agent Vera Strickland. In addition to Mark Harmon, Sean Harmon, David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal will serve as executive producers, with North and Monreal co-writing the premiere episode and serving as co-showrunners. Niels Arden Oplev is executive producer and director of the pilot. The series is produced by CBS Studios.

GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRIAGE (Thursday, 8 p.m.)

Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage is the sequel to Young Sheldon. It follows Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenthood and marriage.

Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland will serve as executive producers of the series from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
