Cardi B She may have taken the Met Gala red carpet by storm, but her after-party look was even hotter! The 31-year-old “I Like It” rapper donned a scarlet red low-cut cone bra dress while attending Richie Akiva’s annual “The After” Met Gala party at Silencio in New York City on Monday, May 6 visited. No Cardi just set the party on fire, but she brought someone special: offset.
The couple, who have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2017, appeared together for the occasion following fashion’s biggest night, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker and 32-year-old rapper Migos were photographed holding hands.
While Cardi shone in her red outfit, Offset chose a more simple outfit that evening: a long-sleeved floral shirt and ripped jeans.
The couple did not walk the red carpet together at the Met Gala. Cardi, on the other hand, enjoyed her solo moment by wearing an all-black tulle dress. As she posed for photos, the “Bongos” artist’s ruffled dress spread around her in waves. She also styled her hair in a high updo.
When it comes to fashion, Cardi is no stranger to experimenting with new styles. From classy dresses to unique cut-out dresses, she’s not afraid to try something new. When talking to The Hollywood Reporter In March, Cardi explained how she had upped the ante at previous Met Galas — particularly her 2019 Thom Browne look.
“There are so many obstacles against us,” she told the outlet about the fashion choice. “For example, this bodysuit is not intended for a size two. I’m very hip and tight, and that’s who I am. …It wasn’t easy, but we make it look easy. Our door was closed many times. But we are here because we do it well. I will not be humble.”
As for Cardi and Offset, the couple split in late 2023 after a dramatic public argument. Although they reconciled after the argument, Cardi claimed she was single in December 2023. In addition, the “WAP” artist also spoke about outgrowing relationships in her Instagram Stories.
“You know this when you’re in the middle of building relationships,” she reportedly wrote in one message. “I’m tired of protecting other people’s feelings…I NEED TO PUT MYSELF FIRST.”
Nevertheless, she and Offset rang in the new year together on New Year’s Eve. Neither of them has publicly confirmed or denied their relationship status.
