In addition to his request for spousal support, Abasolo is asking the judge to order Lindsay to pay $75,000 toward his fees. According to Abasolo, he earns $1,300 per month and that is less than his rent, food and other expenses. A hearing is scheduled for July 10.

Abasolo further claimed that one of the “main points of contention” in their divorce was their shared home in LA.

Lindsay had already broken her silence about the divorce on January 5th.

“I didn’t think I would get emotional. …First of all, I would like to thank the people who reached out. “I’m still trying to answer people,” she said during an episode of her “Higher Learning” podcast. “You just never know how big your circle is until you see all the people reaching out to you and loving you. Obviously it’s a difficult time if you’ve read the headlines and are probably wondering why I should even work. But to be honest, I need to distract myself from myself, and the best way to do that is to do something that I love, and I love ‘Higher Learning’.”

Lindsay further noted that she isn’t ready to discuss the breakup in depth and is “trying to take it day by day.”
