Brittany Cartwright Shed more light on some of the past issues between her and Jax Taylor – including one that had to do with money.
During the Tuesday, April 23 episode of Vanderpump RulesBrittany, 35, appeared on screen for the first time in four years Scheana Shay Advice about Brock Davies. Scheana, 38, became emotional as she discussed how her success caused problems in her marriage.
“I feel like Brock is always doing so much to help me, and maybe sometimes he feels like I don’t appreciate it because he doesn’t bring in a lot of income,” Scheana said.
In response, Brittany asked if Scheana was “the breadwinner” keeping her and 32-year-old Brock at odds. “I absolutely think for him,” Scheana, who shares three-year-old daughter Summer with Brock, noted at the time.
Meanwhile, Brittany revealed she had similar issues with Jax, 44. “I know whenever Jax and I went through that, where I made more money for once, I could tell that was a change for him,” she remembers. “We argued a lot about that alone.”
Brittany added, “I think because they’re such masculine men, that can be something even if they don’t express it.”
Vanderpump Rules Viewers became familiar with Jax and Brittany’s ups and downs when she joined the series in 2015. After Brittany became a leading lady, the two were often at odds and even experienced a high-profile cheating scandal before her exit in 2020.

“So many of you have asked me about Jax and I and our relationship. I just think it’s important to be honest and truthful with you guys because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you,” Brittany said on her podcast, “When Reality Hits.” “I don’t want it to look like I’m lying or anything. So I think it’s important for me to say this.”
She continued: “Given all the speculation online and rampant stories, I wanted to be transparent with you. Yes, marriages are very hard and I had a particularly hard year. Jax and I are taking some time off and I’ve made the decision to move to a different home to make some space for my mental health. I won’t go into too many details because it’s still very difficult to talk about.”
Season 1 of The valley implied that Brittany was unhappy in her marriage to Jax. As new episodes continued to air, Brittany explained how a lack of intimacy contributed to her marital problems.
“Keeping things romantic and spicy is the way to do it. If we want to make it for 20 years we have to keep doing this, but it has already declined so much. It’s knocked my confidence – why isn’t he coming to me? “I felt like I wasn’t good enough,” she revealed Us weeklyis the current cover story. “When you feel like your partner doesn’t want you and they’re also being mean to you, you ask yourself, ‘What am I doing here?’ I basically live with a roommate. I’ve reached my breaking point.”
Brittany continued to explain what steps Jax should take on his part.
“There are a lot of things and I don’t see enough effort on his part. He needs to go to therapy. He doesn’t have to stay out at the bar all the time. He needs to respect me more and stop taking me for granted,” she added. “I was closest to him and was kind of his punching bag. He constantly gave me vaccinations. I can’t deal with this for the rest of my life.”
