“Barbie!” Fraser exclaims. “I’m just here doing my job.”

“You’re getting a New Year’s kiss, so just brush your teeth before 12,” she repeats.

Meanwhile, upstairs, stewardess Paris Field chats with Steven about the possibility. She tells him, “It’s the first step for the rest of your life.”

Back at the mess hall, Fraser tells Barbie to change into her black clothes and decorate the dinner table. She, in turn, repeats: “And at 12 you have to meet someone.”

“Barbie, please don’t do this,” he pleads, joking that he will “try to fire you again.”

“We all know how this will turn out,” laughs Xandi, nodding to Fraser two failed attempts Removing Barbie from the boat crew so far this season.

“Yeah, not very good,” Fraser complains sarcastically. “So you can do whatever you want.”

“There are malicious rumors about a guest who would like to have a New Year’s Eve kiss with a member of the crew,” Fraser informs Kerry. “What do you think about that?”

“To me that’s sexual harassment,” Kerry replies quickly.

“And if the crew member was really interested, is that okay?” Fraser investigates, but doesn’t reveal that he is the crew member in question.

“So what if it’s a New Year’s kiss and that’s all?” asks Kerry. “Yes.”

“I think it’s just a kiss,” Fraser promises.

“I remember I’m sitting at my desk in my cubicle and…Fraser comes up to me very awkwardly, he hasn’t made much eye contact and says, ‘Captain, I don’t like that idea.’ …but what do you think about the crew kissing a guest on New Year’s Eve?'” Kerry recalled of the moment. in conversation with ET alongside Fraser before the season premiere. “And I said, ‘Mate, look, I don’t want any of the crew members to be harassed. Does the crew member want this?’ And he looked at me and said, ‘Yeah…’ I didn’t even have to ask who it would be, I just went back to our paperwork and nodded.

“I have a rule: You can ask for permission or you won’t get caught,” he added. “That’s it.”

“I thought I’d rather not get in trouble, I’d rather keep my job than a hickey, for heaven’s sake,” Fraser said. “Listen, it’s been my golden rule since day one not to meet guests, but it was part of the evening’s entertainment. It didn’t work anymore, except maybe when we dropped them off, but then they were no longer guests, so I didn’t see the problem.

Fans will have to tune in to see how things turn out for Fraser and Steven. Under deck airs Mondays at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
