Below Deck Mediterranean Star Aesha Scott is Engaged to Scott Dobbo

Aesha Scott is a future bride! The Below deck Mediterranean The star announced on Instagram on Thursday that she is engaged to Scott Dobbo, her boyfriend of four years.

The New Zealand-based reality star shared several photos from the romantic beach proposal, showing her and Dobbo smiling, hugging and kissing after he popped the question.

“I SAID YES, I SAID YES!! Of course it was a yes,” she wrote alongside the pictures. “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. We are engaged!!!!! I keep looking at my finger and screaming inside.”

Scott noted that she is “one of those hopeless romantics who watched romantic comedies as a little girl and dreamed about how I could be proposed to one day, where it would happen, what it would feel like.”

As for her own commitment, Scott wrote, “All of these daydreams came true in the most perfect moment when I received my very own marriage proposal.”

“When I was 20 I thought maybe meeting my husband wouldn’t happen for me, I was too busy flitting around the world doing my own thing,” she wrote. “But I found him, and in all my dreams of a happy ending, I never thought I’d get someone as good as Scott.”

Next, Scott praised her fiancé and gushed, “He’s a good, decent, honest person through and through and he loves me so much.” He treats me well, respects me and my dreams and makes me laugh.”

“I’ve never been in a healthy relationship, so I didn’t know what a good relationship even looked like,” she wrote. “I am the luckiest woman in the world to have his love. He is my fairytale ending. Sorry it’s so cheesy, I’m just really, really happy!!!”

In the comments section of her post, Scott opened up about the story of the proposal, sharing that it “happened down in Homunga Bay, one of my favorite places near Tauranga that can only be accessed on foot across a farm or along the coast.”

“My only directive to Scott was that I wanted it to be a complete surprise, and he knows me well enough to know that I would rather be sentimental than flashy any day,” she wrote. “We got up at 4am and I thought we would meet my best friend and her husband to go for a sunrise hike and then take some cute photos. I really had no idea and was just so busy trying to make the day perfect for my friend who…” “I wanted the photos” (I thought).”

“I rushed to get changed and get the bubbles poured for a sunrise. Then I stood next to my friend and admired the view. Suddenly she started running away from me and I turned around to see why and I see Scott walking towards me with tears in his eyes wearing a nice shirt and that’s when I knew the real reason they put me there !!!!” Scott continued. “Then it was a whirlwind of love and excitement and I actually barely remember it because I was so shocked hahaha.”

The couple first met in high school but later got back together and made their romance public in 2020.

ET spoke to Below Deck Down Under‘s Chief Stew in March 2022 and she revealed which Dobbo had agreed to her Changing last names – and becoming Scott Scott – they should marry one day.

“He’s been really supportive, honestly,” Scott told ET of their return to the US Under deck Franchise. “He knows that this is my dream and all my dreams come true. So he said to me, ‘I’m your last priority here. You’re there. You concentrate on your job. You do not do that’. “Don’t have to give me any feedback. Just be there, be present and do it. And having someone there who is so supportive and safe really made a big difference.”
