Bella Hadid and her boyfriend brought a little Texas – and a lot of affection – to New York City.
The 27-year-old supermodel and her real-life cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos attended an event in the Big Apple on Friday evening wearing chic attire with a Texas twist. Hadid wore a black leather jacket that matched her black leather pants and black boots. She completed the look with a white crop top.
Not to be outdone, Banuelos, 35, stayed true to his cowboy roots and wore a black silk shirt tucked into jeans. He wore a very Texas belt buckle, a black cowboy hat, and light turquoise crocodile boots (or ostrich boots!).
They left the event hand in hand. Hadid could be seen flashing a huge smile as she stayed close to her man. Banuelos seemed to enjoy the attention and grinned as the paps snapped away.
Of course, Hadid used to call New York City her home, and to some extent she always will, but she’s since rooted in Texas, where her husband lives. She recently told me Lure life in the Lone Star State has granted her a deeply personal freedom she had never experienced that in her life.
“For the first time I’m not putting on a fake face. If I’m not feeling well, I won’t go. When I’m not feeling well, I take time for myself. And I never have.” “I’ve had the opportunity to do that or say that before,” Hadid told the publication. “If someone sees me in pictures now and says, “I look happy,” then I really am. I feel better; my bad days were now my old good days.”
Hadid also spoke to the magazine about the simplicity of life in Fort Worth, Texas, which includes doing her own makeup for a night out with her friends.
“The way I’ve styled myself for years now – which I still do – I love being able to do my own hair and makeup, being happy with how I look, and getting ready with my friends here in Texas to do,” she says. “We have the best time and I never feel like I have to do too much.”
Hadid and Banuelos were first linked in October. Then, last February, a source confirmed to ET that Hadid was in love with Banuelos and that her mother, Yolanda Hadidis the reason they are together.
“Bella and Adan are in love and their family and friends have never seen them so happy,” the source said of the couple at the time.
“Bella loves how supportive Adan is of her career and how he fits into her life,” the source added. “The two of them always have a great time together and find comfort in the simple things. Bella’s mother Yolanda arranged it.”
And yes, Banuelos is a real cowboy.
