Beijing 2024: Facelift of the Jetour X70 Plus, PHEV Versions of the Light Off-roader T2 and L6 SUV on Display – Paultan.org

There were a few new models on display at Jetour’s stand at this year’s Auto China, some of which we will cover in this post. The Chery sub-brand has already announced that it will make its public debut in Malaysia next month. The Dashing and X70 Plus are expected to be the first cars to hit the market in the second half of 2024.

Jetour X70 Plus facelift

In China, the X70 Plus received a major facelift this year, bringing with it a revised front end with a large grille with horizontal slats. The main headlights are also housed there, with the daytime running lights now running as a strip of light that runs just below the hood line.

The changes to the rear are less serious: the taillights sport new graphics, while the bumper has been optimized and now includes corner ribs, distinctive chrome trim and rectangular exhaust tips.

Inside, the updated X70 Plus features larger dual displays as well as a revised dashboard and more prominent chrome vents. The third touchscreen for the air conditioning remains unchanged, but the center console has a stylish glass-look gear selector switch.

As for the powertrain, the new This is mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a DCT to drive the front wheels. There’s also a 1.6-liter engine with 197 hp (194 hp or 145 kW) and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed DCT that also drives the front wheels.

Jetour L6

The L6 is a new addition to the lineup and part of Jetour’s Shanhai series of New Energy Vehicles (NEV) in China. The L6, which was unveiled at Auto Shanghai last year as part of the X-2 concept, is said to be offered with plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains CarNewsChina.

The former is said to be Chery’s C-DM system with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and an electric motor for a hybrid range of up to 1,400 km – few details on the EV variant for now. The L6 is said to be the NEV variant of the Dashing and is said to have the same dimensions of 4,590 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,685 mm high and a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

Inside, the L6’s interior isn’t all that different from Dashing, with a large touchscreen taking up the dashboard. There’s also an identical steering wheel, while a small digital instrument cluster is integrated into the wide panel in front of the driver. One difference is the center console, which is connected to the vents on the L6 but is separate on Dashing.

Jetour Shanhai T2

The T2, also called the Traveler, is not new to Jetour’s offering, but the car shown at the company’s stand at Auto China is the plug-in hybrid version. The PHEV version was launched at the show with a price range between 179,900 and 209,900 yuan (approximately RM118,000 and RM138,000) and is also part of the Shanhai series.

In terms of specs, the T2 comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that produces 156 hp (154 hp or 115 kW) and 220 Nm. This is paired with a three-speed hybrid transmission (DHT) and an electric motor, the latter producing 224 hp (221 hp or 165 kW) and 390 Nm for a total system output of 381 hp (375 hp or 280 kW). 610 Nm.

Two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries are offered, the first being a 26.7 kWh unit, offering a pure electric range of up to 100 km under the WLTC standard (129 km CLTC) and a top speed of 197 km/h possible. The second option is a 43.24 kWh unit that increases the all-electric range to 161 km (208 km CLTC), while the top speed is increased to 210 km/h. In hybrid mode, the maximum possible total range is 1,300 km.

Jetour hasn’t listed exact charging capacities on its official website, but it has stated that the Shanhai T2 can handle both AC and DC charging. It is also equipped with a vehicle-to-load function that can deliver up to 6.6 kW, with another external power supply in the trunk that can deliver 2.2 kW.
