Bangladesh national cricket team cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has once again made headlines for his antics. The all-rounder was seen misbehaving with one of the groundsmen during the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) in Bangladesh.
Shakib Al Hasan, who is currently playing for the SK Jamal club in the Dhaka Premier League instead of T20Is against Zimbabwe, did not make things easy for the groundsman who tried to take a photo with the former Bangladesh captain.
In the video that has gone viral online, a groundskeeper came close to Shakib Al Hasan, who was chatting with coaches. When the officer took out his cell phone to take his picture, the cricketer ran after him, punched him and insulted him for disturbing him during his conversation. Shakib even grabbed him by the neck and threatened to beat him up in front of everyone.

Shakib Al Hasan has often come under scrutiny for his rude behavior towards fans. Earlier this year he was seen slapping a fan during the election. Furthermore, he also made headlines for his rude gestures on the field.
Shakib Al Hasan was recently awarded NOC by Bangladesh to play in the Dhaka Premier League. He missed the first two games against Zimbabwe and will also miss the third game. He will be part of the squad for the final two games of the series.
In the match against Prime Bank in the Dhaka Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan won a golden duck. However, he seemed to be in good touch with the ball and returned at rates of 2/42 in his 10 overs.

Shakib Al Hasan recently spoke about Bangladesh’s chances for the 2024 T20 World Cup. He stated that they need to focus on the first round matches first. He also believes that the game against Zimbabwe is not the ideal preparation for the team for the World Cup. He added:
“We performed decently at the last World Cup and although we didn’t do particularly well, no one will say we did badly. If that is our benchmark then we have a chance of surpassing him at this World Cup and if we want to achieve that we need to win three games in the first round.
“In Australia (T20 World Cup in 2022) we played against New Zealand and Pakistan and so we certainly went to the World Cup based on very good preparation and given the fact that it is not ideal. But this is the best we can do to prepare,” he concluded.
