Aleem Dar, one of the most renowned umpires in the history of cricket, bid farewell to cricket after the end of a one-off Test match between Bangladesh and Ireland. Aleem Dar was the umpire from Pakistan who was part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires. Aleem Dar won the prestigious David Shepherd Trophy three times in a row from 2009 to 2011. Aleem Dar has been a member of the umpires in five ICC World Cup tournaments and seven T20 World Cups, which is massive.

Aleem Dar was the one who gained huge respect in world cricket and whose decisions were quite accurate. Aleem Dar could also be seen in the franchise leagues. The Bangladeshi Tigers would be happy with this win in the friendly against Ireland. Bangladesh won the game by 7 wickets. It will not be wrong to say that this was a hard-fought victory for Bangladesh. Ireland showed a lot of fighting spirit and wore down their opponents with their sheer defense.

Great fight from Ireland
Let’s not forget that Ireland had seven debutants in this Test match, playing their first Test match after 2019. Lorcan Tucker was the biggest positive, the wicket-keeper batsman hitting well as the team found themselves in a precarious position in the second roundnd innings. Andy McBrine’s performance of 72 runs in 156 balls was quite commendable.
