“Bachelorette’s Charity Lawson Says She and Her Fiancé Have a Wedding Date.”

Charity Lawson And Dotun Olubeko Will hear wedding bells in the not too distant future!

One year after Charity, 28, ended season 20 of The Bachelorette by choosing Dotun30, over Joey Graziadei – which would later become the next one Bachelor And find your own love with Kelsey Anderson – The child and family therapist says she and her fiancé are busy preparing for the wedding, which she described as a complete “whirlwind.”

“Wedding [planning] “It’s definitely a challenge, but in the sense that it’s just so much to prepare for and I didn’t know how much I was getting myself into,” Charity said Thursday at the Variety Power of Women event to ET’s Rachel Smith.

The Dancing with the stars finalist added that they have set a date for the ceremony but are keeping it to themselves as they move forward with the planning process step by step. Charity says that given the hectic nature of her lifeBachelorette That said – they’ve just arrived back in the US after a trip to the Caribbean and are celebrating their one-year engagement – they’re happy to take as much time as possible to prepare.

“2025, just know this,” she shared. “So next year – we have time.”

Charity added: “We really just take it day by day because we just want to enjoy the planning of it all. I think we gave ourselves enough time to hopefully not get too stressed. But we do.” We are moving forward slowly but surely.

During the season 20 finale of The Bachelorette The show aired in August, but the show’s production ended in April 2023 and specifically ended with Charity and Dotun’s engagement on April 30th. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Dotun – an integrative medicine consultant – celebrated the anniversary by sharing pictures of her trip to Grenada.

“A year later, fantasy has become our reality. Your endless love is an experience, thank you for showing me how it should feel. Proud of you, proud of us. Every day we learn more that a good thing can simply be a good thing. Cheers baby 🫶🏾,” he wrote.

She told ET on Thursday that the trip was special for so many reasons, but especially because it gave them a chance to breathe and reflect on how far they’ve come in the year since he took a knee.

“Honestly, it was such a dream,” she described her beach vacation. “Our last year was – was so good and honestly nothing has really changed, which is the beauty of it.”

She continued: “We’re moving on to our normal lives now, everything is slowing down, but as far as the state of our relationship goes, it’s still very much alive and it’s a testament to how we really found true love on this show “It’s crazy to say, but it works.”

In August, ET spoke with the happy couple after the season finale and asked how they were adjusting to their new life as an engaged couple and what’s next, including their upcoming wedding and where they would live after the final rose.

“It’s a sigh of relief,” Charity said, of finally being able to show their love in public. “We are just so excited. This is the moment we have truly been waiting for [have] I’ve been waiting for this from the beginning, ever since we finished everything in Fiji.

“Looking back at it all, it was exciting, a little difficult at times, but now that we’re just able to live a normal life, it’s something we both want,” she added. “…That’s what it’s all about.”

Dotun agreed, telling ET, “You go through these phases, there’s the filming phase and then the after phase, which we just completed.” [with]now it’s time to take the long view.”

Charity also offered advice for the show’s new lead, Jenn Tran announced as The Bachelorette during Grazadei’s finale in March. Lawson calls it a “big, historic season,” as 26-year-old Jenn says first Asian bachelorette.

“Never forget your goal and what she’s looking for and ask challenging questions,” she said of what she told Jenn. “I think sometimes people are afraid to ask [questions] out of fear… so I told her to stand her ground.

Jenn’s season, which doesn’t yet have a release date, is historic in other ways, too. In April, ET exclusively revealed her season will not be filmed in the Bachelor Mansion. Instead, the opening ceremonies will take place at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch.

“I think what I wanted to tell myself [is I’m the] “First Asian Bachelorette, first PA student, we’re really pushing the envelope this season,” Jenn said. “I think a new mansion is the perfect way to push the envelope… I’m going to bless it with some really good vibes.”
