Anjali Arora makes her film debut as “Goddess Sita”
All the fans of Anjali, ‘Anjalians’ as she likes to call them, were waiting for her icon’s big screen debut and now the actress has finally spoken about it. Anjali has bagged the role of ‘Sita’ in Abhishek Singh’s directorial. Sri Ramayan storywhich is based on the famous Hindu epic, Ramayana. Speaking to ETimes, Anjali shared that she feels “blessed” to get the opportunity to play the role and that she has been preparing for it since last month.

Anjali Arora shared how she bagged the role of ‘Sita’
Speaking to ETimes, Anjali shared that her role was finalized last month after many rounds of casting. She added that the director informed her that many actresses were in the running for the role but ultimately they felt that the diva was best suited for it. Shedding light on how she got the role, Anjali added:
“I think they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I finished last month and since then I’ve been watching videos, doing readings and attending workshops. I will do my best to do justice to the character.”
Anjali Arora opens up the possibility of being compared to Sai Pallavi
In the same interaction session with ETimes, Anjali added that she knows her performance will be compared to that of Sai Pallavi, who essays the role of ‘Sita’ in Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial. Both ladies will portray the same character and talk about the same thing, Anjali added:
“If I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy.”

Netizens’ reaction to Anjali Arora in the role of ‘Sita’
As soon as Abhishek Singh announced Anjali as ‘Sita’ in his upcoming project, netizens took to the comment section to express their views on the same. Most of them are not happy with this and one wrote, “Ramchandra keh gaye siya se aisa kalyug aayega.” Another user commented, “Disresection towards Sita Maa.”
