Anita And Featherweight know all eyes were on them after they recently performed their hit single “Bellakeo.”
“I think they just like us,” Anitta told ET’s Rachel Smith during the Variety Power of Women New York event presented by Lifetime on Thursday. “I think we both have great energy. I think fans love seeing two people with great energy together.”
The internet has been abuzz since Anitta and Peso first took the stage at the TikTok In the Mix concert late last year. However, the duo caused another stir when they performed the single during Peso’s performance Coachella Valley Music Festival on the second weekend.
Fans also noticed the playful argument between the two via social media.
“We love each other,” Anitta shared back and forth on social media. “I mean, I love him, I think he loves me too. And it’s amazing. We like to be natural.”
Anitta, 31, and Peso, 24, also caused a stir last week and were the talk of the town when they were spotted Hit the dance floor at a Latin American Music Awards afterparty. In March, the couple shared another sweet moment at the Tecate Pal Norte Festival in Mexico when the “La Bebe” rapper surprised them on stage with a birthday cake.
Before the relationship rumors, Peso was dating Argentine singer Nicki Nicole. The couple was first linked in 2023. and attended the 2024 GRAMMYs together. However, shortly after the red carpet moment, the two ended their relationship.
For her part, Anitta has been linked to Maluma, Mr. Thug and Thiago Magalhães. In December, Anitta and Lele Pons on the ski slopes in Aspen with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umanskyamid his split from Kyle Richards.
Despite her unknown relationship status, Anitta has a lot to celebrate. On Thursday, the singer made history when she became the first Brazilian artist to be honored at the Variety ceremony.
“I feel so honored,” Anitta told ET. “I feel like I could never have imagined it. I am such a fan of so many people who are here today and I never imagined that one day I would be celebrating with them. I am the first Brazilian.” [singer] do something like that. So for me it was unimaginable.
