Andy Cohen supports the summer house Stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke call off their engagement last year.
On Thursday’s episode of Watch what happens live with Andy Cohensaid Hubbard about her breakup with Radke. Cohen expressed his thoughts on their relationship and subsequent breakup.
Cohen first reached out to Hubbard directly and asked if she was relieved about the cancellation of her wedding plans to Radke. Before Hubbard could respond, her co-star Gabby Prescod interjected with a resounding “yes,” indicating that she agreed with Cohen’s sentiment.
As Hubbard collected her thoughts, she realized the complexity of the situation. “I think it would have been a really long and hard road for me going forward,” she said, reflecting on the challenges they faced. “But you know, it’s complicated, right? I spent the entire summer, I spent almost an entire year planning a wedding and doing so much grinding and organizing for it. So it’s a little frustrating.”
Cohen reached out to Prescod and asked for clarification on her quick approval. Prescod reiterated her stance, stating: “We have discussed this at length. In hindsight, that could never have worked.”
Cohen then voiced his observation, explaining, “It seemed like it didn’t work out this summer.” He added, “I mean, when you watch the show, you feel like a couple that shouldn’t have gotten married. I’m sorry.”
Hubbard, taking Cohen’s comment in stride, responded, “That’s totally fine. I am very loyal, hardworking, I will try again and again.” She emphasized her commitment and the depth of her feelings, saying: “I was there, I was in love with this man, he was the love of my life, we wanted to get married, He was my best friend for eight years.”
Cohen continued the conversation and asked if Hubbard missed Radke as a friend. Hubbard admitted to initial feelings of longing, but eventually came to terms with the reality of their relationship, explaining, “After I spoke to my therapist, she said he wasn’t the person you thought he was.”
