Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most valuable heroes in Bollywood. However, he too caused damage on the sets of his film at times and now one of his co-stars, a British-Pakistani actor Alyy Khan, has spoken out about such an incident during the shoot Don2. Talking about the film, Shah Rukh starred opposite Priyanka Chopra and undoubtedly the film was a blockbuster hit.
Shah Rukh Khan caused a loss of Rs. 2.5 crore damage on Don2 Set: reveals Alyy Khan
In an interview with Dawn News, Alyy Khan recalled the scene with Shah Rukh Khan from the film: Don 2, when they experienced a major accident. The British-Pakistani actor mentioned that it was on a Sunday when they shot the car chase in Berlin and he was sitting right next to Shah Rukh in the car. Furthermore, Farhan Akhtar hid in the backseat to monitor the scene’s creation. In addition, they were equipped with many cameras and powerful lights, all worth 300,000 euros, which when converted into Indian currency was Rs. 2.5 crore.

In addition, remember the story when the accident occurred on the set Don2Aly mentioned that Shah Rukh was extremely confident about his driving skills. But during the shoot, Shah Rukh was behind the wheel and somehow missed his target by a few moments. As planned, Priyanka Chopra also drove towards her car, they exchanged a look and Shah Rukh delivered the line, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai.” However, a stunt car that was supposed to reverse and brake rammed her because Shah Rukh’s car had been displaced by a marker, which led to the incident. Aly shared:
“There are HMI lights and two large cameras on the hood. In total, this is equipment worth 300,000 euros. Obviously this affected the balance of the car. As he turned left because he was a few seconds late, the other stunt rammed right into us. Shah Rukh immediately looked at me and asked if I was okay. I said I was fine. Everyone gathered and checked everything was okay. But there was damage of 300,000 euros because the camera equipment was damaged. Gone in an instant.”
When Shah Rukh Khan accepted that the car accident was the result of his “overconfidence”.
Earlier, in a behind-the-scenes video of the same film, Shah Rukh spoke about the car accident on the sets that left him very embarrassed. He confessed that it was his “overconfidence” that led to the collision with the stuntman’s car, resulting in a huge loss for the makers. He explained:
“Maybe I was overconfident, but I just made a mistake and bam! It was very embarrassing, one of the most embarrassing times I have ever experienced while shooting a film.”
