Aditi Rao Hydari reveals the historical sanctity that her engagement venue held
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Aditi Rao Hydari opened up about her engagement ceremony with boyfriend Siddharth. The actress revealed that she always wanted to start the new chapter of her life at her family’s temple, which is around 400 years old. Explaining details of the occasion, Aditi shared that the couple did just a small action Pooja, followed by replacing the rings. In her words:
“I wanted to mark our beginning at a 400-year-old temple of my family. I wanted to go there and do puja and we had a little date.”

Aditi reveals how her mother dealt with the constant questions about her engagement
Well, Aditi and Siddharth’s engagement was quite quiet and it was certainly an intimate celebration in the presence of their family and close friends. However, it wasn’t quite the same for her fans as headlines were full of speculation about her special day. Elaborating on everything, Aditi recalled that it was her mother who had asked her and Siddharth to officially announce their engagement as she was receiving too many calls and questions. She said:
“There were so many rumors going around that we decided to post this photo on Instagram to clear them up because my mom told me: Please log in ko bata do and call aa rahe hai non-stop.” So was it – she said yes, he said yes.”
Siddharth admitted that he was worried if Aditi agreed to his engagement proposal
Earlier, Siddharth spoke about his engagement to Aditi Rao Hydari for the first time at the Galatta Golden Stars event. To clarify the matter, the actor noted that it was not a secret engagement but a private one, adding that only those who should know about it knew about it. Furthermore, he spoke about his fears before proposing Aditi and said:
“These questions about how long it took her to say yes should not be asked. The final result must be either “Yes” or “No”, “Pass” or “Fail”. I was worried if it would be a yes, luckily I passed. The wedding date depends on the elders (family) and their statements. It’s not a shooting appointment that I can decide on, it’s a lifelong appointment. Once they decide, it will happen at the right time.”

Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s engagement announcement
It was on March 28, 2024, when Aditi and Siddharth dismissed rumors about their marriage and released the first picture of themselves flaunting their rings and announcing their engagement. In the close-up selfie of the two, the duo had pure joy on their faces. While Aditi wore a pear-shaped double diamond ring, Siddharth wore a fine platinum men’s ring that had a diamond in the middle.
