Popular television actress Mona Singh recently bought a brand new luxury SUV Mercedes-Benz GLE. The actress picked up her new GLE with her father and husband. As part of an elaborate handover ceremony, the car dealership handed over the keys to their new SUV. They also presented her with a £1 note in a picture frame.
Mona Singh buys new Mercedes-Benz GLE
These pictures of Mona Singh handing over her new Mercedes-Benz GLE were shared by the dealer. The actress bought her GLE from Mercedes-Benz Andheri Lokhandwala. The dealer shared the post with the caption: “On a new journey with @monajsingh as she welcomes her stunning Mercedes-Benz GLE!”
The pictures showed Mona Singh being handed the key to her SUV. She was then given a £1 note in a picture frame. She was then seen pulling the cover off her new GLE SUV along with her father Jasbir Singh.
She then posed for a few photos with her husband Shyam Rajgopalan and her father. Finally, she ended the ceremony by cutting a cake. The dealer’s sales representative also gave her a gift bag when she delivered the new SUV.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE
It is not clear from the pictures which exact variant of the Mercedes-Benz GLE the popular television actress purchased. What we can note, however, is that Mona Singh has chosen a very noble shade of sodalite blue. This is a deep blue color that suits the SUV’s massive road presence.
In the Indian SUV lineup from German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz, the GLE luxury SUV sits between the top-of-the-line GLS and the smaller GLC. It is offered in three variants in the Indian car market – GLE 300d, GLE 400d and GLE 450.
Mercedes-Benz has priced the GLE between ₹91 lakh and ₹1.08 crore. It is one of the first choices among Bollywood celebrities. Famous Bollywood actors and actresses like Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Soha Ali Khan and Gauhar Khan own Mercedes-Benz GLE luxury SUVs.
Powertrain and features
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 2024 is offered with a total of three engines. The entry-level GLE 300d comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 241 HP and a maximum torque of 500 Nm.
Next up is the GLE 400d variant, which features a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine. Its maximum output is 326 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Finally, there’s the GLE 450 variant, which features a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six gasoline engine. It produces 362 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
As mentioned above, it is currently unknown which exact engine option Mona Singh has chosen. In terms of features, the GLE comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system connected to a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The GLE also comes with four-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 590W Burmester sound system with 13 speakers, and heated and ventilated front seats.
