A 29-year-old Forex Trader’s Multi-crore Rolls-Royce Gets Stuck in Floods in Dubai [Video]

Countries in the Middle East such as the United Arab Emirates and Oman experienced one of the largest natural disasters last week. Heavy rains occurred in Dubai and surrounding regions, leading to flooding. Several theories emerged about the cause of the rain and flooding. Many claimed it was the result of cloud formation; However, experts have refuted this theory. Last week, several videos emerged from Dubai showing people stranded in the middle of the road in their expensive cars and SUVs. Here we have a video of a 29-year-old forex trader sitting on the hood of his multi-crore Rolls Royce limousine during the floods in Dubai.

The video was shared by Ronak Kotecha Dubai on her Instagram page. In the video, we see Mr. Pips, a Forex trader, sitting on the hood of a red luxury Rolls Royce sedan, surrounded by water. The car and owner were likely stranded during the flooding and he was likely waiting for a recovery van or truck to pick up the car.

We see him enjoying the view with a banana and a can of Red Bull in his hand. The car shown in the video is a current generation Rolls Royce Ghost. Apparently the car was parked in a parking lot at the time, as the water is directly under the bumper and doesn’t appear to be too deep.

However, the owner was apparently unwilling to take a risk with his expensive car and decided to wait for reinforcements. While the water may not be deep in this particular section, the same is not true for other locations. There are videos from Dubai showing SUVs like the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Nissan Patrol completely submerged in floodwaters.

The comments section under this video is always filled with interesting comments. One user wrote: “Insurance companies will experience multiple panic attacks.” Some other users wrote: “Put the Red Bull in the fuel compartment; “It will give the RR wings,” “He managed to grab at least a snack,” and so on.

The Rolls Royce Ghost shown in the video is the current generation model and features an aluminum spaceframe, similar to the all-new Phantom. Like other models from the British brand, Rolls Royce offers an extremely high-quality cabin.

The car is powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 571 horsepower and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission that transmits power to all four wheels.

Many modern cities face flooding due to poor drainage systems. If you ever find yourself stuck in a situation like this, there are a few things you should do. Never drive your vehicle or bicycle through floodwaters, otherwise it will be very difficult to estimate the depth. If your car or bicycle stalls on a flooded road, do not attempt to start the vehicle until you check the water level.

If the water level is too high, exit the car as starting it will only cause more damage to the vehicle’s engine. Most importantly, don’t leave your house unless it’s absolutely necessary. To learn more about what you should never do when driving on a flooded road, click here.
