In a nostalgic caption, he wrote, “SRK has put all his jigar into the role! I have so many memories from shooting this film!” He then tagged Farah Khan and playfully added, “Do you remember the 40mm lens?”
Farah immediately re-shared KJo’s story on her own IG account, enthusiastically replying, “Oh my god!! Best songs, best times!!” She further recalled: “We actually became best friends here… and it was the 20mm lens that never came.”
For the inexperienced, published in 1998, duplicate remains a treasured gem of Bollywood cinema. The film, a captivating mix of comedy, action and drama, showcased Shah Rukh Khan’s remarkable versatility as he played dual roles alongside the vivacious Juhi Chawla and Sonali Bendre.
On the same note, it is worth mentioning that Sonali recently spoke about her gray character in the film. While promoting the release of her latest project, The Broken News S2, Sonali said in an interview with Indian Today, “It was very exciting and challenging for me to portray this character. We started preparing for the role that way and started shooting it accordingly, but as things progressed, I felt like I was becoming a caricature and not really the gray character, that I should play.”
