2025 Ford Transit Price and Specifications

ford has updated its full size transit Range, with more technology and, depending on the model, a new transmission and greater towing capacity.

The first deliveries of the updated range will begin End of the third quarter of 2024and Ford says more specifications will be released closer to launch.

Technically speaking, Ford is not calling the updated range a 2025 model, but rather the MY24.75.

Gross vehicle mass (GCM) and braked towing capacity apply to the following models:

Model GCM Braked towing capacity
Transit 350L LWB FWD van 6000kg (+1750kg) 2750kg (+950kg)
Transit 350L LWB RWD van 7000kg (+900kg) 3500kg (+750kg)
Transit 430E RWD single cab chassis 7000kg (+900kg) 3500kg (+1100kg)
Transit 430E ELWB RWD van 7000kg (+900kg) 3500kg (+1100kg)

Ford also says there have been small increases in payload numbers for its cargo-hauling models, with the exception of the E-Transit, but has not released numbers.

The six-speed automatic in the front-wheel-drive 350L model has been replaced in favor of an eight-speed automatic, which Ford says results in greater efficiency and a smoother driving experience. It also switches to a rotary gear selector.

There’s no longer a manual Transit in Australia, meaning the base price has risen by $3,000 – although the entry-level front-wheel-drive 350L costs just $500 more than the previous model.

All models feature an 8.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, tire pressure monitoring, keyless start and an integrated 5G modem with FordPass connectivity, while all models except dual-rear 430E models have an electronic parking brake.

All models except the single cab chassis have a surround-view camera, but the cab chassis model has fog lights and front parking sensors in addition to the already standard reversing camera.

There are few visual changes to the Transit, including new black badges and a “simplified” Blue Oval design.
