Volkswagen commercial vehicles has described his “GEN2” in detail Crafter RV from JaycoThis year, a further series of more than 60 vehicles will be produced locally in collaboration with the leisure vehicle specialist.
Price wise from $157,990 plus on-road costs for the style and $165,490 before travel The all-terrain, 2024 Volkswagen Crafter Kampervan, has seen equipment improvements as well as alleged quality upgrades based largely on consumer feedback.
While the initial allocation for GEN2 is stated to be the same “60+ units” as GEN1 for the remainder of 2024, the company has promised to work with its factory in Germany to secure additional Crafter base units in 2025, to increase its RV capacity.
Like the original, Jayco’s 2024 Volkswagen Crafter Kampervan is fully backed by VW’s five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, as well as five years of standard roadside assistance. These are also manufactured in Melbourne by Jayco, making it a more localized project.

Maintenance and warranty
The Crafter campervan series is covered by Volkswagen’s five-year, unlimited mileage warranty and five years of roadside assistance as standard.
In addition to being covered by the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealer network, the Crafter Campervan has access to the Jayco and JARSA networks for maintenance and repair work.
The standard Crafter offers five-year care plans for scheduled maintenance – with 12-month/20,000km intervals. For the Crafter 4Motion, the prepaid plan costs $2600.

The Crafter Campervan does not have an ANCAP safety rating, nor does the standard Crafter range.
