Lately, we have been seeing a lot of videos on the internet about the upcoming Maruti Swift. Maruti will officially launch this popular hatchback tomorrow. Ahead of the official launch, we have a video of the top variant of the Maruti Swift 2024. In this video, we see the new Swift in a two-tone red-black color that showcases both the exterior and the interior in detail.
The video was shared by Cars with Anurag on their YouTube channel. In this video we see a new shade of the Maruti Swift. Maruti will offer the new Swift in LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI and ZX+ variants. The car seen here in the video looks like the top-end ZXI+ variant in a two-tone shade. The red car with the blacked out roof suits the car well.
The vlogger first talks about the appearance. Seen here is the slimmer headlight design with blacked out interior elements as well as projector lights and LED daytime running lights. The front grille with gloss black outline and scalloped hood design gives the Swift a new look. The car features LED fog lights and a black lower bumper lip.
Looking at the side profile, we notice the two-tone color along with the new set of alloy wheels. There are body-colored door handles and we also see the demand sensors on the driver’s door. The rear door handle is now on the door instead of the C-pillar. The rear of the hatchback model is equipped with clear glass taillights and LED lights. The interiors are darkened for a sporty look.
We see the rear view camera on the tailgate and there are parking sensors on the bumper. The vlogger then shows the inside of the new Swift. Since it is the top-end variant, the car is loaded with features. We see a start/stop push button, as well as a button to control the mild hybrid system, a flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel with glossy black inserts inside.
The analog dual instrument cluster with a colored MID in the middle can also be seen here. The 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys sound system and mobile phone charger can also be seen here. The steering can also be adjusted. The seats have fabric covers.
In terms of dimensions, the new Swift is taller and longer than before. However, the width of the hatchback has decreased by 3 mm. The wheelbase of the car also remains the same. As for the engine, the Swift gets an all-new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine.
This engine is tuned to produce decent power and torque for city driving. The car generates less electricity compared to the previous model. The Maruti Swift 2024 produces 82 hp and 112 Nm of maximum torque. It is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as seen in the video and we would also see the 5-speed AMT option.
Just like all other models Maruti’s all-new Swift is also expected to be priced competitively. Maruti will introduce CNG and Series Hybrid technology in the new Swift at a later date.
