Hyundai no longer offers the Santa Fe with pure petrol or turbodiesel powertrains in Australia, with the latter powertrain being dropped globally in this boxier model.
This has resulted in the Santa Fe range being reduced from eleven variants to just five, all powered by a petrol hybrid powertrain.
Price from $55,500 before on-road costs In base front-wheel-drive trim, the Santa Fe is $9,450 more expensive than the cheapest previous-generation version, with the price to drive more than $60,000 Australia-wide.
The entry-level all-wheel drive model has also increased by $8,950 and now starts at $58,500 before on-road costs.
However, when comparing the new Santa Fe Elite to its hybrid predecessor, prices have only increased by $2,000 (to $65,000 before on-road costs), while the new Calligraphy grades are priced $5,450 to $5,950 higher are than those of the hybrid Highlanders they replace.
To offset the price increase, the Santa Fe is more powerful than the previous model and comes with more features.
These include larger interior screens, wireless smartphone mirroring and improved convenience features.
The SUV has also grown outside and inside and offers more interior space than before.

Drivetrain
The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that alone produces 132 kW of power and 265 Nm of torque.
It is coupled with a 47.7 kW electric motor, increasing the overall system performance to 173kW.
Drive is via a six-speed automatic transmission to either the front wheels or all four wheels.
There is no turbodiesel engine on offer for this generation Santa Fe globally, while a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (with 207kW and 422Nm, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission) is not yet available overseas for Australia blocked.
Efficiency
Hyundai Australia has not yet announced fuel economy figures for the Santa Fe.

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is covered by the brand’s standard five-year/unlimited kilometer warranty in Australia.
Hyundai has not yet announced detailed service intervals and prices for the Santa Fe.

Colors
The base color “Creamy White” is the only color available at no additional cost. All other finishes will incur a $695 surcharge, while the two matte offerings will set buyers back an additional $1,000.
