Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding: all the details

Some reports place the cost closer to $26 million.

The black-tie dinner was held in a tent decorated by Chicago firm HMR Designs with peonies, roses, petite white ranunculus and hydrangeas. With celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay a guest, cooking duties for the more than 500 guests were left to Thierry Isambert, previously chef to former President Bill Clinton.

Celebrity guests included Spice Girls bandmates, Mel C (Sporty) and Mel B (Scary), Venus and Serena Williams and actors Rashida Jones and Chilling Adventure of Sabrina’s Kiernan Shipka.

The bride did not wear Beckham

While Nicola’s new mother-in-law Victoria Beckham released a line of wedding dresses in 2019 and created a custom gown for guest Eva Longoria in 2016, Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director of Valentino, was tapped for her haute couture creation.

The gown with a simple square cut neckline, extravagant train and French lace veil with matching opera gloves required two trips to Valentino’s Roman atelier and two fittings in the US.

Her shoes were a subtle nod to Victoria’s Spice Girl past, with Versace Medusa Aevitas platform pumps, providing extra height.

According to British Vogue something blue was a message from the bride’s mother, along with an evil eye, stitched into the gown.

A 90s supermodel provided beauty inspiration

The Brigitte Bardot-influenced look of German supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s campaign images for Guess jeans in 1989 provided inspiration for hairstylist Adir Abergel on Nicola’s wedding day.

“She’s like my little sister – she annoys me all the time, but she’s also the best,” Abergel told Vogue, “She’s been sending me all of these rad images of early Claudia Schiffer – including pictures of her with bangs – so they inspired us, plus the dress, which is just beautiful.”

Abergel has provided red carpet hair guidance for Kristen Stewart, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Garner.

The groom wore Dior

The black wool peak lapel tailcoat with matching trousers, wing-collar shirt, white bow tie and pocket square, and black polished leather derbies came from Kim Jones for Dior. Jones was kept busy providing suits for Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and father David. Sister Harper, 10, was a bridesmaid.

Along with a bespoke label from his bride on the inside of the suit jacket, Brooklyn’s suit was personalized with a chain with bezel-set emerald diamond commissioned by his in-laws from jeweler Anita Ko.

The designer wore a custom slip dress, with spaghetti straps and French lace embroidered onto liquid silver fabric, developed at an Italian mill, before changing into a black number from her pre-fall collection, on sale in June.
