11-year-old Actress Manasvi Kottachi Gifted Kia Sonet on Her Birthday [Video]

Actors and actresses in the film industry, be it Bollywood or regional cinema, are paid well. Depending on their star value, they are often paid in lakhs or even crores. Just like actors and actresses, we have also seen a lot of child artists entering the industry recently. They have made a place for themselves in the industry and are paid well too. One such child artist from the Tamil film industry is Manasvi Kottachi. Recently, a video of her taking delivery of her brand new Kia Sonet SUV surfaced online. The video was shared by actor Kottachi, who is Manasvi’s father. Manasvi became known in the industry for her role in Nayanthara’s film Imaikka Nodigal, in which she played Nayanthara’s daughter.

In the video, we see Manasvi, her father and mother at the car dealership. The family was there to receive their brand new car. Everyone seemed extremely happy and excited about the new purchase. In fact, the car was a gift to Manasvi, who had always dreamed of owning a big car.

The child actress is seen talking to the car dealership’s employees, who are teaching her when to lift the car’s tarpaulin. After the paperwork was completed, the family finally showed off their new car. It is a Kia Sonet SUV in a beautiful shade of black.

Looking at the bumper, it seems as if the parents chose the Tech Line version of the Sonet. The GT Line variants get a different design for the underbody protection. We don’t see the family driving the car out of the dealership. The video ends shortly after the vehicle is unveiled. There are no details about the variant the actor chose.

The Kia Sonet is one of the most popular SUVs in the sub-4 meter segment. Earlier this year it received an update that gave it a more aggressive look. The exterior of the SUV has been reworked to look sportier and we see revised taillights with an attached LED bar running across the tailgate.

Kia has made no changes to the engine and transmission options. The SUV continues to get a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine.

Kia offers the Sonet in Tech Line and GT Line variants, with minor cosmetic differences. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel are available in the GT Line variants, while the 1.2-litre petrol is only available in the Tech Line. Kia offers features like ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, a power moonroof, leatherette upholstery, power driver seats, automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and more.

The price of the Kia Sonet starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 15.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia has also revised the product range and now offers functions such as a sunroof from the basic HTE variant onwards.

This is not the first time that a child artist in India has received such a gift. Last year, we came across a report where child artist Riva Arora, who debuted in the film Uri: The Surgical Strike, was gifted an Audi Q3 SUV by her parents because she had 10 million followers on Instagram.
