10 Last Minute Offers for Mother’s Day Gifts

Time goes by. If you, too, just looked at a calendar and noticed that this Sunday is Mother’s Day, you may be panicking about your weekend plans (or lack thereof). A gift is a nice way to show your mom your appreciation (she might not like a gift!), and we’ve been looking for deals on last-minute Mother’s Day gifts that will hopefully arrive in time, especially if you have Amazon Prime. Target also offers fast weekend shipping or in-store pickup on most of the deals below.

Many of these options come from our Mother’s Day Gift Guide. For more ideas, check out our Best Gifts for Moms guide.

Kindle Paperwhite

This price is for the Paperwhite, which displays ads on the lock screen. The ad-free model is reduced to $135 ($35 off). Kindles are our favorite e-readers and the Paperwhite is the best in Amazon’s lineup. It’s waterproof, has a warm backlight, and the 16GB storage is enough for thousands of books. The Signature Edition offers auto-adjusting lighting and wireless charging, but is not on sale. If Mom doesn’t need these extras, there’s a $80 discount on the basic Kindle ($20 off).

If your gift recipient always has spare plastic utensils in her bag, this cutlery set from Cliffset includes a fork, spoon, knife and case. Better yet, it includes a cleaning system – a refillable spray and a cloth – to keep everything clean after lunch at the park.

Kitchenaid food processor

KitchenAid stand mixers are the gold standard for kitchen appliances that should last forever. There are tons of colors available at both Amazon and Target, but only some are suitable for fast shipping. The slightly smaller 4.5-liter version is also discounted to $240 ($90 off). This is only available in white and black.

Click on the coupon on the page to apply this discount. Paper makes some of our most popular paper planners and the company has other notebooks and journals we love, including this recipe book. Mom can write down all of her signature dishes for herself or pass along, or it can be something you complete together. There are many more cover designs on Papier’s website, but you would have to spend the same amount on shipping to get it by Sunday.

Aura Walden digital picture frame mounted on the wall

I love digital frames and they make great gifts. Aura frames are the best on the market. This is large and has a 15-inch screen. The recipient can hang it on the wall or place it on a table using the metal stand. I prefer Aura’s Carver frame, which isn’t on sale but is much cheaper at $149. This one can only sit in landscape orientation, but the Mason, discounted to $169 ($30 off), can be rotated just like the Walden.

If your mom has an Android phone and could use a smartwatch upgrade, we love the Google Pixel Watch 2 (7/10, WIRED recommends). It looks nice and has helpful features like automatic workout start and stop detection, fall detection, and safety check to share your location with emergency contacts. The redesigned Fitbit app also looks much more modern.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones

These are expensive, but the best noise-canceling headphones we’ve ever tried (9/10, WIRED recommends). If the mother in your life needs peace and quiet, this could be a worthwhile investment. It is important that they deliver a balanced and clear sound. The sandstone color is particularly beautiful.

If the nearly $400 Bose headphones above are too much, you can still give the gift of quality wireless headphones. These are our favorite cheap noise canceling headphones and they have a battery life of 40 hours. They’re just a little more fragile, and while the sound quality is great for the money, it can’t match the quality of the Bose.

This viral curling iron is ideal for beginners. The Beachwaver B1 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) rotates, so all mom has to do is clamp the hair, press a button, and watch the hair automatically wrap around the wand. The result is beautiful curls. All I know is that it doesn’t work on all hair types.

Some of us on the Gear team are Bath People. If your mother does the same, a bath caddy is a real asset. She can put down her Kindle or tablet to read or watch TV, and it holds a drink and even a candle to set the mood. Depending on where you live, delivery may not be until after the weekend, so be sure to check. If it’s a little late, add a few extras like a bath pillow, a makeup eraser set, and maybe a candle in her favorite scent.
