So what is Thousand Island Dressing? This dressing is named after the Thousand Islands region, which lies between Canada and the United States on the East Coast near New York. This creamy dressing has some sweetness (from sugar) and some spice. The color comes from ketchup (or tomato paste), while vinegar adds some flavor.
