David Woolley joins Sister Wives Season 19 in a big way

Christine Brown met with People Magazine at the beginning of 2024 and made two things very clear:

ONE: Sister Wives Season 19 is in full swing!

TWO: Her brand new husband will play a leading role!

“People are going to see a lot of both of us,” Brown told the publication in a joint interview with David, adding, “I’m really excited for everyone to get to know David because he’s really authentic.”

As loyal Sister Wives Fans know that Christine split from Kody Brown in November 2021 and wrote on Instagram at the time:

“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we raise our wonderful children and support our wonderful family.”

Christine later met Woolley on a dating website and made the relationship public on Valentine’s Day 2023.

“I have finally found the love of my life, David,” she said at the time, visibly deeply in love.

David is already used to the cameras

Fast forward to October 2023: Christine and David got married and his reality TV career began.

First, he discussed with Brown the Sister Wives in a one-on-one special that aired in December; then he got plenty of airtime when TLC followed the couple for their special “Sister Wives: Christine and David’s Wedding.”

But with season 19, he will appear as a cast member for the first time.

“They threw me to the wolves,” Woolley joked to People, saying he “never wanted to be on camera” before he met and fell in love with Christine.

However, he has accepted and embraced this new aspect of his life.

“Look, I tried, but then I interrupted him and then I feel really bad,” Brown interjected. Peopleand explained how she did everything she could to take the lead on air.

“If the interview is followed by a one-on-one conversation with [host] Suki [Krishnan]she was like, ‘How did you propose to me?’ And I was like, ‘Let me tell you.’ And I just took control.”

Meri Brown returns to “Sister Wives” despite family dispute

In recent years, it has become clear that Meri was having a falling out with her multi-family.

After she leaves Kody, her relationship with the other women begins to deteriorate. For one thing, she didn’t attend Christine’s wedding. For another, she sat in on Garrison’s memorial service, separated from Janelle and the kids (more on that in a moment).

But no matter what drama happens with the other women, Meri is still part of the TV family. She confirmed on Miss Understood Podcast with Rachel Uchitel that she would return for season 19.

“I’m here,” she insisted, but gave no details about filming the show. She added only, “I’m very excited. I’m not going anywhere.”

Will there be a 19th season of Sister Wives after Garrison Brown’s death?

While the family seems ready to start another season, things took a devastating turn on March 5. That’s when it was announced that Janelle and Kody’s son Garrison died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The news saddened the entire world, as the young man was only 25 years old and just beginning to rebuild his life in Arizona. Garrison famously had a falling out with his famous father, but was still incredibly close to his mother.

Unless the series is canceled, it is very likely that the consequences of his death for the family will be addressed in the next season.

In fact, reports from The sun suggest that the show was actually in production at the time of his death.

“As sad as it is, his unexpected death occurred during filming,” a family source told the outlet.

Garrison’s strained relationship with his father Kody was the focus of the family last season and the source claims that TLC “wants to continue the storyline and fans are anticipating finding out what happened to him.”

“I can’t imagine this not being filmed,” they said, adding, “I just don’t know how far this will go and how deeply the family will get involved.”

Will season 19 of “Sister Wives” be cancelled for 2024?

No premiere date has been set yet for Sister Wives Season 19. From what we’ve heard, the chances of the show being cancelled are slim. No doubt the family will want to update their fans on their next steps following the tragedy.

But who will star in the show?

Also present are Christine and David, the now single Janelle Brown, Meri Brown and possibly her new ex-boyfriend, and Kody and Robyn Brown, who are still legally married.

“I don’t really prepare him for things,” said Christine People about David’s entry into the show.

“It’s like this, that’s it. That’s what we’re talking about. We’re going to meet and do an interview for People Magazine…

“But he’s just authentic and real, and I think that comes across. I think he comes across really well because he’s just being himself.”
