Three months have passed since the tragic death of Garrison Brownthe son of Sister Wives Stars Kody Brown And Janelle Brown.

garrison died by suicide after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His family returned home in March despite years of estrangement and Kody and Janelle’s separation in 2022.

In a new podcast interview Meri BrownKody’s first wife, who separated from him in 2023, spoke about her ex and former Sister Wife after Garrison’s death.

“I’ve talked to each of them and I think there are good days and bad days. I don’t know how there couldn’t be,” Meri said of Janelle and Kody on the Miss Understand with Rachel Uchitel Podcast. “There are still moments when I see a picture of Garrison and I’m like, ‘Ohhhh. I don’t like that happened.’ It’s really sad, you know? I feel so much for Janelle. I watched my mother lose two of her own children before she died… it’s tragic.”

After news of Garrison’s death broke, Kody, Janelle and Meri released a joint statement about the loss.

“Our family is deeply saddened to announce the loss of our wonderful boy, Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” the post on Instagram said. “This loss will leave such a huge hole in our lives and it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this time and join us in honoring his memory. Garrison, you will be loved and missed! 💙💙.”

Now that the family has broken apart, Christine Brown Kody will leave in 2021 and Robyn Brown Meri, the former polygamist’s only remaining wife, said on the podcast that she is no longer as close to her former sister wives as she once was.

“When I see her, we have a cordial conversation, but I don’t seek her out to have a relationship,” Meri explained. “I feel like I’ve had a lot of time to do that. In the last over a year since I broke up, Kody and I broke up and it’s over, there are a lot of things that I’m working on within myself. And I think it’s really, really important to be surrounded by people who really encourage that.”

Meri was not invited to Christine’s wedding to David Woolley in October 2023. Janelle and her children attended the celebrations and continue to have a close bond with Christine even after their separation.

“You know what, I love that Janelle and Christine are so close,” Meri said. “They weren’t when we were all together. They weren’t all these years. Whatever brought them so close together now, I think it’s great.”

Regarding her attitude towards the breakup of the Brown family, Meri said she has come to terms with the separation of the core structure.

“It took me a while to realise that and understand that it’s OK. Some people are only in your life for a while,” she said. “It’s OK to let things go if the relationship isn’t mutual and it’s not building me up or them up, it’s OK.”

Meri said she plans to date and wants a monogamous relationship, but due to her catfishing scandal in 2015, she is not keen on using a dating app.

“I’m not on any dating apps. I really want to meet someone naturally,” she said.
