Kangana Ranaut, the newly elected MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, was recently embroiled in a controversy after she was attacked by a CISF official at the Chandigarh airport. According to reports, the CISF official slapped the actress in a shocking manner. Later, Kangana clarified in a social media post that the CISF official attacked her for not supporting the farmers’ protest in Punjab. For those who don’t know, the latter has already been suspended and an inquiry has been launched against her.
Adhyayan Suman and Shekhar Suman support Kangana Ranaut in slap case.
After Kangana Ranaut criticised the film industry for allegedly not showing support for her personal attacks, her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman and his father Shekhar Suman expressed their support to her in a recent media interaction. Shekhar condemned the incident and termed it illegal. Adhyayan agreed and Shekhar further demanded that the security chief must be appropriately punished for such extreme violent behaviour. In his words:
“This is very unfortunate and should not happen to anyone. It is illegal what they did. He deserves his punishment. I could understand that there was some resistance in his mind in society or that someone was lecturing him, but the way of expressing this was completely wrong. He could also go somewhere in a civilized way. Come on, you may even talk angrily, but you can’t touch anyone like that.”

Kangana Ranaut issued a formal response to her attack at Chandigarh airport
While there are already countless insights on the internet about the moment when Kangana Ranaut was slapped at the Chandigarh airport, the actress and elected parliamentarian later clarified the facts in an IG live video and revealed what actually went wrong. While assuring her safety and the fact that she was unharmed, Kangana mentioned that the incident took place in the security check area of the airport where the CISF officer not only slapped her but also manhandled her. She expressed herself as follows:
“Namaste friends, I am getting a lot of calls, both from the media and with my concerns. First of all, I am safe, I am perfectly fine. The incident that happened today at Chandigarh airport happened during the security check. As we were passing through the main vehicle security check, we saw a woman working as a security guard of CISF in the second booth. He was waiting for us to cross, came from the side, slapped my face and started abusing me. And when I asked him why he did that, he said that he supports the farmers’ protest and I am safe, but I am worried that the fear that has been created is increasing in Punjab. How do we deal with it?”
When Shekhar claimed he would support Kangana Ranaut in the Lok Sabha elections
On May 7, 2024, Shekhar Suman entered politics and joined the Bharatiya Janta Party. Immediately after his induction, the filmmaker and actor was asked at a press conference if he would show his support to his son, Adhyayan’s ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut, who also belonged to the same party. Shekhar then stated that he would be happy to help Kangana and support her whenever she needs it.

Adhyayan Suman praised ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut for her extremely successful career in film and politics
Earlier, in a conversation with IANS, Adhyayan Suman spoke about his ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut and praised her for the tremendous progress she has made in her career both in films and politics. He said:
“As far as Kangana Ranaut and her life and her political career are concerned, I think she has been really successful in her career as an actress and I wish her all the best in her political career as well. I am very sure that she will be very successful as well. I wish her all the best.”
