Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised it Pakistan national cricket team for their exceptional performance after winning the three-match T20I series against Ireland.

Naqvi celebrated their win and expressed his admiration for the Men in Green’s outstanding performance and determination during the T20I series in Ireland.

Pakistan had suffered an embarrassing defeat in the first T20I against Ireland but they made an impressive comeback and won the remaining two matches to clinch the series by a margin of 2-1 against the Irish team.

This win would certainly have boosted their confidence ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the Caribbean. Ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Pakistan team will play four T20I matches in England.

Mohsin Naqvi ranks Pakistan as the best team in the world

Now, after Pakistan’s victory in the T20I series over Ireland, Circuit board Boss Naqvi ranked the Men in Green as the best team in the world. While congratulating Pakistan on social media platform ‘X’, Naqvi praised the ‘Men in Green’ for their collective effort and commitment during the Ireland tour.

Furthermore, the PCB boss also highlighted the impressive teamwork of Babar Azam and his team and wished the team continued success in their upcoming appearances against England and the 2024 T20 World Cup. He expressed confidence in their abilities and potential, to turn the tables.

Mohsin Naqvi wrote on X: “Congratulations to the Pakistan cricket team for winning the series against Ireland! With teamwork and commitment, you have proven that you are the best team in the world. Good luck boys for the England series and the World Cup.”

It is noteworthy that the PCB Chairman returned to Pakistan from Ireland on Wednesday, May 15. During his visit to Ireland, Naqvi held discussions with the Director of Ireland Cricket about the upcoming fixtures. As per the Future Tours 2023-27 program, Ireland are scheduled to tour Pakistan for the three-match ODI and T20I series in August next year.

England-Pakistan are unlikely to play warm-up matches before the 2024 T20 World Cup

The Irish women’s cricket team can also visit Pakistan for a series. Earlier, a Cricbuzz report claimed that Pakistan and England may miss their warm-up matches for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup next month as they are already playing in the T20I series later this month as part of their preparations for the upcoming mega World Cup will compete against each other event.

While Pakistan will play their first matches in the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA, England will travel to the Caribbean, so travel may be another reason for their reluctance to play warm-up games.

On the other hand, the Indian team was originally scheduled to leave for New York on May 21, but now the players will travel in two groups on May 25 and 26. The ICC will soon announce the warm-up match schedule for India.

But India’s warm-up games are expected to take place around May 25 and 26, with the Men in Blue starting their 2024 T20 World Cup on June 5 in New York against Ireland, where they plan to play warm-up games.
