With Mirzapur being one of the most anticipated Amazon Prime Video original series, fans are eagerly waiting to see what the third season of the show has in store for them. Last month, fans shared their excitement when Ali Fazal shared an interesting photo series of his role as Guddu Bhaiyya, and now the streaming platform has made fans curious by revealing the release date of the series, but with a surprise.
The release date for season 3 of Mirzapur is announced, but as a guessing game
The official Instagram page of Mirzapur has shared a poster which features the main characters of the series albeit in caricatures. Also, the death of some of them can be seen over the course of the series, Ali Fazal’s Guddu Bhaiyya takes over the throne, Shweta Tripathi as Golu stands next to him and Divyenndu Sharma as Munna, Pankaj Tripathi as Akhandanand Tripathi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda as Satyanand Tripathi, Vijay Varma and others. They have also posed a riddle which the audience has to solve to guess the release date as the instructions read, “Mirzapur S3 ki release date chuppi hai isme Dhoond sakte ho toh dhoond lo!” They have also captioned this photo by saying, “Ab #MS3W poochna nahi, dhoondna hai. Toh ho jaiye shuru.”
Fans of the show expressed their excitement by making their own guesses about the release date. Many of them believed that the poster contained multiple elements in seven, which led them to wonder if the show will release in July, the seventh month of the year. “I have 2 guesses… July 1st – 21st, 2024 (full moon on 21st and guns, bullets, carpets, people are 7) and others is so common since everything is seven then it is Thala 7-7-2024 for a reason,” said one of the fans, while another added, “Month 7 (July) 5 is written on the license plate so date 5. 05/07/2024 which is also the first Friday of July.” Another user concluded, “7 carpets, 7 bullets, 7 guns, 7 people = July 7.”
Furthermore, Ali Fazal also shared a video in which he hinted in typical Guddu Bhaiyya style that he will hold a launch for Mirzapur 3. “What about what happened when you turn around?” read the caption.
The plot of the series “Mirzapur” is set against the backdrop of gang wars in a small town in Uttar Pradesh. The series is streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
