Indian influencer and Bollywood actress Kusha Kapila was once madly in love with Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia. The ex-couple was once hailed as one of the most loving couples on social media. Kusha often featured Zorawar in her comical skits. Together, they are parents to their fur baby Maya, a golden retriever. In 2023, Kusha and Zorawar announced their separation, shocking their fans. However, all the blame for their separation was placed on Kusha, and she had to face a lot of blame.
Kusha Kapila once spoke about her first meeting with her ex-husband Zorawar
When Kusha Kapila first appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show, she was asked how she met Zorawar. To this, Kusha said that she first saw him at her best friend’s brother’s wedding and he was dancing like crazy. When she asked him if he was the groom’s best friend, he denied it and said they had only met once. That was enough for Kusha to decide that he was weird. She was quoted as saying:
“I met him at my best friend’s brother’s wedding and he was dancing a lot. And I said he’s your best friend, he’s the one you met in college. So you’re so happy. I don’t know why he’s dancing.” He’s a very strange man.

Kusha also revealed how Zorawar invited her for a drink at the wedding and acted like it was an open bar. She added that she knew Zorawar had used the same pick-up line on her other friend. She said:
“He said let me get you a drink, so I said this is a wedding, this is an open bar, there are open drinks here, what drink are you going to bring? Then I realized he asked me another question. Friend ko pucha tha. He’s going to kill me for this.”

When Kusha Kapila shared a shocking detail about her breakup with Zorawar
Earlier, during the India Today Conclave, Kusha had stated that she was pressured to announce the news of her separation from Zorawar Ahluwalia prematurely. However, the influencer and actress shared that she was happy to announce the news in her own way. Kusha added that she did not want anyone else to reveal details about her life publicly.

When Zorawar Ahluwalia spoke about life after his divorce
In an interview with MensXP, Zorawar spoke about his divorce. He was asked if he was going through a good phase to which he said yes, adding that he had just gotten out of an 11-year relationship. Zorawar also stated that he would soon be moving into his new home and was ready for the new chapter. He was quoted as saying:
“Absolutely. This phase is something new for me. I just came out of a relationship. I just came out of an eleven-year relationship. In the next ten days, I’m moving into a new home with my baby. My whole family is here. So everything’s good.”
Furthermore, Zorawar was asked if it gets easier to deal with heartbreak in your 30s. He said it definitely gets easier when you know what you are dealing with. He added that after all the heartbreaks and experiences, you learn something. Zorawar added that after all the setbacks, you become a better person. He added that he now knows how he will show his “true self” in front of the next person he falls in love with.
Well, Zorawar and Kusha have spent the most wonderful eleven years together and are co-parents to their fur baby Maya. Amidst all this, the former couple is focusing on their respective careers.
