IND vs AFG: We Will Ride the WC Momentum – Naveen-ul-Haq Issues a Warning to India Ahead of T20Is

Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has issued a stern warning to the Indian team ahead of the T20I series between the teams. He said they will carry the momentum of the ICC World Cup 2023 and are confident of doing well in the series.

Afghanistan will take on India in the three-match T20I series. The series begins on January 11 in Mohali, followed by a second match on January 14 in Indore. The final match is scheduled to take place on January 17 in Bengaluru.

It promises to be an exciting series as Afghanistan have improved their game and shown great performances in recent years. India, on the other hand, have fielded a team in top form and the competition between bat and ball is expected to be fierce.

Naveen-ul-Haq will be the key player for Afghanistan in the series. He has built a reputation as a T20 expert and has gained widespread notoriety by playing in leagues around the world. He is expected to lead the bowling attack in the three games.

With Rashid Khan ruled out of the series, Naveen-ul-Haq becomes extremely important for the team. His ability to swing the new ball and bowl slower in the middle overs would be needed for Afghanistan. If his team has to believe in their chances of winning, he has to improve.

Naveen-ul-Haq is quite confident ahead of the series. He said that Afghanistan is the dominant team in the T20 format and is confident of doing well against India. The pacer also has his eyes on the T20 World Cup 2024. Speaking to TOI, he said:

“Afghanistan is known for T20 cricket. Afghanistan is dominant in T20 cricket. We are full of confidence after our good performance in the ODI World Cup. We are sure that we will carry the same momentum in the upcoming series (against India) and later in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and the USA.”

Naveen-ul-Haq further spoke about her preparations for the India series. He said they were well prepared and working hard towards their goal. The fast bowler is fully confident that his team will be ready by the time of the 2024 T20 World Cup. He explained:

“We have prepared really well. We are all working hard towards the goal. We have a few series before the World Championship, including the India series, and we will be ready when the World Cup comes.”

Afghanistan will be one of the teams to watch out for in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. They have played sensational cricket and were at the top of the game in the 2023 World Cup where they defeated teams like England and Pakistan. They will hope to perform even better in the next tournament and make a strong statement.
