Ice-T is ready for another five years Law and Order: SVU after the 25th season of NBC’s milestone show ended last month.
“We’re really looking forward to season 26. I think last season we got a whole different wind of fans, everyone was on board and the ratings were great,” said Ice-T, 66, We weekly while promoting his partnership with Raising Canes National Iced Tea Day. “I see no reason why SVU can’t walk 30 [seasons].”
The actor played Odafin “Fin” Tutuola alongside Mariska HargitayOlivia Benson has been with the show since its second season in 2000.
“I think the show will run as long as Mariska wants to do it,” Ice-T speculated. “It’s her show.”
Ice-T went on to say that he and Hargitay, 60, are not just partners on screen. The duo have developed a real friendship off-camera as well.

I’ve been with Mariska longer than I’ve ever been with anyone consistently in my life – 25 years,” he said. “That’s more than elementary school, middle school, high school and college combined. That’s a long time.”
Ice-T said he and Hargitay are “very lucky” that viewers still want more.
“We’re both very grateful that the fans love the show and we’re humbled by that,” he added. “I think that’s why we come to work every day and are ready to keep going. Neither of us are jaded.”
While the NBC star doesn’t know what to expect in the next season, SVU He is “still smiling” after being shot in the season 25 finale, which aired May 16.

So it’s natural,” said Ice-T Usand revealed that he has long been a huge fan of the chicken chain. Raising Cane’s offers both sweetened and unsweetened tea, but Ice-T prefers one.
“In real life, you’d rather meet the cute Ice-T, you don’t want to meet the other guy,” he joked. “I don’t understand unsweetened iced tea – maybe I’ll skip the broth and the unsweetened iced tea. To me, it’s like unsweetened ice cream or unsweetened lemonade. Certain things are meant to be sweet. That’s just my opinion.”
Of course, Ice-T is aware that there are reasons why some people prefer unsweetened tea, but he sticks to his beliefs.
“Iced tea is supposed to be sweet, damn it,” he explained.
