Georgia Bulldogs football strength staff pushes flip sled up Sanford Stadium

With Georgia set to play in its third nonconference game of the season, vs Kent State at home, the strength and conditioning coaches at Georgia are back for their weekly video series entitled “#throwdownthursday,” in which the staff performs an exercise or workout that pushes them.

In this week’s edition, Bulldogs’ strength staff members Scott Sinclair (hired by Kirby Smart upon his arrival), Tersoo Uhaa (hired in 2020), and assistant Jordan Barber (hired in January), showcase Sanford Stadium by pushing a 260-pound flip sled up the stadium steps to the concession stand on a 92-degree day. Check out their latest efforts in the video below.

Georgia, No. 1 in the Coaches Poll and No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25, is set to face Kent State at home. Kickoff is set for Noon ET and ESPN+/SEC Network+ is set to stream the game. Learn how to watch here. Georgia is coming off a 48-7 win over South Carolina and the Golden Flashes are coming off a 63-10 win over Long Island. Georgia is considered a 44-point home favorite over Kent State. Georgia is given a 99.2 percent chance of winning the game by ESPN’s FPI. Georgia won the first matchup between the two schools 56-3 back in 1998.

“We’re looking forward to getting another home game,” Kirby Smart said on Monday. “Our second time to play at home against a quality opponent in Kent State. We did some off-season study on these guys. And they have a really unique offense. And, actually, a really unique defense as well. They do a tremendous job. Sean Lewis has done a great job with these guys in terms of coaching them up and getting these guys to play hard. They’ve played a really tough schedule in the teams they’ve played. We’re looking forward to an opportunity to play these guys.”
