Over the years, WWE has done an excellent job of involving prominent non-wrestlers in WrestleMania’s weekend festivities. This sometimes includes people walking into square circles, either for the match or as a way to add some gravitas to the biggest event on the WWE calendar each year.
Pat McAfee was on the WrestleMania entry card for the second year in a row on Saturday night, though he wasn’t announced ahead of WrestleMania 39. McAfee surprised the crowd by showing up before the main event to take on The Miz, who are hosting “Mania” this year, in a match.
After Snoop Dogg’s official announcement, McAfee began opening cans for The Miz, who was trying to leave. It was at this point that The Miz decided to head to the San Francisco 49ers and noticed huge wrestling fan George Kittle sitting courtside. Kittle booed, so the Miz gave him a push, which caused Kittle to take off his jacket and put it on with the well-documented Cleveland Browns fans.
McAfee would go on to win, and one can only count the doubles as one of the best moments of Kittle’s life.
