Blue Fox Entertainment Acquires Family-friendly Adventure Film “Autumn And The Black Jaguar” from Studiocanal

EXCLUSIVE: Blue Fox Entertainment has Autumn and the Black Jaguar by Studiocanal. Blue Fox will release the family-friendly adventure film in cinemas nationwide later this year.

Director: Gilles de Maistre (Mia and the white lion), the main roles are played by Lumi Pollack (The Fallout), Emily Bett Rickards (The CW’s Arrow), and Paul Greene (Somewhere), with Wayne Charles Baker (Indian horse), Kelly Hope Taylor (Good Sam)and newcomers Lucrezia Pini and Airam Camacho round out the cast.

Growing up in the Amazon rainforest, Autumn makes one of the rarest of friendships – a lost jaguar cub she names Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknown New York City, she dreams for years of returning to the rainforest and her friend. At 14, and accustomed to city life, Autumn discovers that her home village is threatened by animal traffickers and decides to return to the Amazon to be with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards) – Autumn’s lovably clumsy biology teacher – tries in vain to dissuade her from this reckless plan. Together with Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who want to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.

Before filming their scenes together, Pollack spent over a year acting and bonding with Hope, since the jaguar was barely a month old.

De Maistre is reteaming with Catherine Camborde, who produced the film, and his wife, writer Prune de Maistre, who wrote the screenplay. The deal was negotiated by Jame Huntsman for Blue Fox Entertainment and Chloe Marquet, head of international distribution for films and television series, on behalf of Studicanal.

“After the box office success of The Wolf and the Lion, We are pleased to add Autumn and the Black Jaguar to our cinema program,” said Huntsman. “Gilles and his talented team once again take audiences on an adventure, this time into the Amazon jungle, full of beauty, animals and a great supporting cast.”
