Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Trailer Features a Taylor Swift Song

The highly anticipated trailer for Blake Livelyis the upcoming film It ends with us has been published – and it contains a powerful depiction of a Taylor Swift Song.

Based on the bestseller Colleen Hoover In the novel of the same name, the film’s teaser features a slowed down version of “My Tears Ricochet”, a song by Swift folklore Album. Swift coos as fans get a sneak peek at Hoover’s story, about a girl named Lily (Lively) who falls in love with a doctor named Ryle (Justin Baldoni). Just as things get serious – and dangerous – Lily’s first love atlas appears (Brandon Sklenar) reappears in her life and challenges her new relationship.

The hugely popular book was published in 2016 and became a cultural phenomenon on social media and the best-selling print book of 2022. The novel endured The New York Times Bestseller list for more than 90 weeks.

Baldoni, 40, who also directed the film, promised fans that they can expect an adaptation that stays true to the book. “Don’t worry I see EVERYTHING you all tag me in 💐🍪📝,” he captioned a March 2022 TikTok in which he types furiously while “trying to keep up with all the casting, scene and song requests for ‘It Ends With Us’ to keep up.”

Four months later, Baldoni announced that he and Hoover had gathered a group of fans to get a first look at the script. The pair took the opportunity to work with the group and ask what they could do to ensure the film remained faithful to the novel.

“A big thank you to the thousands of It Ends With Us fans in the LA area for their submission and to the ten we selected to attend the special script reading,” Baldoni captioned a TikTok video at the time. “Your feedback and support have been incredible! Thanks to you, we are one step closer to producing this film! We are beyond excited! There’s more to come!”

For her part, Hoover has only praised the film adaptation of her book, noting that she was “impressed” with Lively’s portrayal of Lily.

She added, “When I wrote Lily’s character, I thought I had a pretty solid image in mind, but Blake’s portrayal gave the character so much depth and complexity that I didn’t even expect it.” The author described Lively’s performance as “captivating, breathtaking and emotional” and noted that the actress “exceeded” her expectations.

It’s only fitting that the teaser shows 34-year-old Swift, her friendship with Lively and her husband Ryan ReynoldsHe is popular with fans.
