90 Day Fiance’s Big Ed Says He Gets DMed Wedding Proposals Every Day

For Ed “Big Ed” Browneverything gets lost in the DMs.

“I get marriage proposals almost every other day. They are [from people] “I’m over 85 and I don’t even know where her nursing home is, so I don’t respond to that,” Ed, 59, said exclusively Us weekly on Tuesday, May 14th. “The latest crazy DM I just got is that they are actually neighbors [who] invited me on an all-expenses-paid couples trip to Florida. I say, “I’m single, don’t worry.” We’ll all have a lot of fun. I’m like, ‘Why don’t we just go have a drink there and see what happens?’ I get a lot of requests like that.”

Ed was previously engaged Rose Vega And Liz Woodsand both relationships were chronicled in the seasons of 90 Day Fiancé. (He also shares adult daughter Tiffany with his ex-wife Sandra Heckman.) Since Ed and Liz recently broke up for good, he’s been getting DM requests all the time.

“People want to invite me to dinner or lunch, and what I don’t like about it is that they don’t want to have lunch with me. They want to have lunch with ‘Big Ed,’ and that comes with the territory,” Ed said Us. “But in a lighter way, I can use my public persona [status to work with] Charities [like] the Remembering Nicholas Foundation.”

In addition to helping organize charity events and supporting his lifestyle, Ed is also still looking for love.

“I was with someone. “It’s still weird because even the word ‘date’ has a negative connotation because when you go out with someone you’re basically pretending to be someone else,” Ed added. “So what I’m focusing on [is] Develop friendships. I have a handful of people [who] I’ve learned through the industry that we go to lunch together, we go to Top Golf together, we go to happy hours together. And so I wait patiently for the right person to come along.”

Ed hopes to find a “natural” and “organic” romance by ruling out meeting a partner on a dating app or connecting with another 90 days Fan.

“Would I date a fan? I have [and] I don’t recommend it,” he explained. “Here’s why: They like Big Ed, the character I created, and once they get to know the real Ed… it’s not the same. So, dating fans in general, [isn’t] a good idea.”

However, Ed knows what he wants in his next serious relationship.

“I’m looking for someone who respects me so I can respect someone who is safe,” Ed said Us. “As a public figure it’s really difficult and [is] for many relationships. That’s why I’m looking for someone who doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, doesn’t want to be on TV and… he needs to love who he is and be happy. I can’t make them happy and they can’t make me happy. We have to do this ourselves.”
