Man wins £ 105 million lottery, buys second-hand cars

A couple won a life-changing lottery worth £ 105 million. But they did not really get their heads in the clouds and remained grounded. How? By buying used cars and doing a lot of DIYs to make things better in life.

Builder Steve Thomson and his wife Lenka brought a used van and car after winning the huge lottery prize. Just because the couple earned a lot of money, they did not want to spend the entire amount.

After revealing that he had won the lottery, Steve bought a second-hand delivery van for himself, followed by a Volvo XC90 for Lenka. Savvy Steve also invested a chunk of his profits with Queens bank, Coutts & Co, after the 2019 windfall.

The few “tens of millions” in a trust and could be set for another enormous windfall in the coming years. The family also sold their patio home in Selsey, West Sussex, for an enormous estate last year.

Their 14.5-acre estate has an enormous swimming pool, tennis court and party shed, which is seven times the size of an average British property. Neighbors at the impressive 7,000 sq ft farm in Kent include Hollywood actors, rockstars and an IT mogul.

Steve said the house has been taken for the children to get separate rooms. However, he promised that he would renovate the place himself.
