Virat Kohli has had a difficult time as a batter lately. He has not scored an international goal since November 2019 and has struggled to advance in IPL 2022. The former captain of the Indian cricket team could not live up to expectations in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli scored 341 runs in 16 games on an average of 22.73. He scored two half-centuries, but could not take his team to the IPL final. While there have been mixed reactions to Kohli’s dry season, several former cricketers have fallen hard on him following his recent string of poor scores.

However, former Pakistan-tempo great Shoaib Akhtar came out in support of Kohli.

“You say good things about Virat Kohli. Give him respect. Why do you give Virat Kohli no respect? As Pakistani I say, he is the greatest player of all time. I can bet he will score 110 centuries,” Akhtar said in a interview to Sportskeeda Cricket.

Then Akhtar said in an instant message to Kohli: “Do not be afraid and you have to play until the age of 45. The current situation makes you reach 110 centuries. People write you off, they tweet against you. You post on Diwali, you are being criticized. They are tweeting about your wife, your children.Nothing can be worse than this.Nature makes you want to score 110 tons. So, keep my words in mind and start beating it out today yourself . “

Kohli had hit a purple patch between 2015 and 2019, which gathered centuries of fun across formats and also led the team to greater heights.

But things have not gone away since the beginning of the pandemic and Indian cricket fans would hope that the words of Akhtar Kohli inspire him to come out with his best again.
