NTPC’s 20 MW solar capacity begins commercial operation at Kawas in Gujarat

State-owned power giant NTPC on Saturday announced the start of commercial operation of the first part capacity of 20 MW from 56 MW Kawas Solar PV Project in Gujarat.

“As a result of its successful commissioning, the first 20 MW of 56 MW Kawas Solar PV Project in Kawas, Gujarat will be declared operational at 00:00 on 14 May 2022,” said a BSE application.

With this, the standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC reached 54,616.68 MW.

Furthermore, the NTPC group installed and commercial capacity reached 68.981.68 and 68.321.68 MW respectively.
