Chennai Super Kings wins his 1st Match in IPL 2022 after 4 defeat in row CSK beat RCB by 23 runs

The current champions of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL, Chennai Super Kings finally got the victory in the new season of IPL under the new captain. Before IPL 2022, MS Dhoni handed over the captaincy of the team to Ravindra Jadeja, but the team had to face defeat in four consecutive matches. However, now the team got a good win in the fifth match, which will give confidence to the team to get back on track. In the 22nd and fifth match of IPL 2022, Chennai defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs.

Talking about this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bowl, as almost all the captains have taken the same decision in this season of IPL. This decision of the captain proved correct for 10 overs, but after that Robin Uthappa along with Shivam Dubey made such a rain of runs, in which the RCB bowlers were drowned. The team had scored 60 runs in the first 10 overs, but in the first ten overs, the team added 156 runs and after 20 overs, the score of CSK was 216/4.

For Chennai, Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 95 off 46 balls, which included 5 fours and 8 sixes, while Robin Uthappa was dismissed for 88 off 50 balls. He hit 4 fours and 9 sixes in this innings. 17 runs came off the bat of Ruturaj Gaikwad, while Moeen Ali was dismissed after scoring 3 runs. Ravindra Jadeja’s account did not open, while MS Dhoni returned unbeaten without playing the ball. Wanindu Hasaranga got 2 wickets for Bangalore, while Josh Hazlewood got one wicket.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore, chasing the target of 217 runs, did not get a good start. Captain Faf du Plessis and former captain Virat Kohli were dismissed cheaply. Glenn Maxwell did take some shots, but he became the victim of Ravindra Jadeja for the sixth time in the IPL. After Suyash Prabhudesai and Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik raised hopes of victory, but it was just a hope. The team could score 193 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 23 runs.
