After Deputy Prime Minister of Delhi visited Manish Sisodia Government Schools in Gujarat, there has been a political war on Twitter comparing people to the education system and government schools in the national capital and Gujarat. With the upcoming state elections, AAP minister Sisodia pointed out that the Gujarat schools are in poor condition after 27 years of BJP rule in the state with the hashtag #GujaratkeSchoolDekho. The state led by BJP is also not left unturned to point out the similar state of schools in the capital.
Sisodia, which also has the education portfolio in Delhi, visited two state-run schools in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar, the residence of State Minister of Education Jitu Vaghani. He shared photos of several government schools and claimed that the property is in poor condition with its walls covered with cobwebs and smelly toilets. He also added that guest teachers manage the schools on their monthly salaries.

This is the state of the government school after 27 years of BJP rule in Gujarat. To make India a world guru, our schools will also need to be made world class.
We can not imagine a prosperous society without providing good education for our children.#GujaratKeSchoolDekho#GujaratKeSchoolDekho#GujaratKeSchoolDekho pic.twitter.com/5P5zI0DH1Y

Criticizing AAP, West Delhi BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma claimed that the government schools in Delhi are in an equally miserable condition. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Exposed Kejriwal’s world-class education model.”
He also invited the Ministers of Education and Public Health of BJP from Gujarat to visit the Delhi Government Schools and Mohalla Clinics. He further tweeted videos of the Delhi government schools he attended, saying he was informed by staff that the children were forced to study in a building that was declared as “dangerous”.
Like Sisodia, the BJP MP shared photos of cracked walls and roofs of school buildings in Delhi. He said AAP does ads that are worth crores of rupees, but when it comes to the reality of education, it’s all lies and fraud and schools still have thin bars.
