Meanwhile, RCB will enter the league on the back of an impressive seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians, and will try to come back with a positive result.

The match will also feature star batter and current RCB captain Faf du Plessis against his former franchise. By sharing his thoughts ahead of the competition, the former South African international hopes to deliver a strong performance against CSK.

“It would be really great to play against Chennai. Like I said, I got an incredible amount of love and respect from the people for everything they did. That it would be a great day to see everyone again and of course , as we run on the field, I hope I can put in some performances to get RCB the win on that game, “said the former Proteas player while speaking on the Inside RCB show on Star Sport.

Du Plessis explained that he is in a place where he can draw inspiration from two of the greatest leaders of Indian cricket. He also talked about learning a lot from former CSK captain MS Dhoni and called him a “fantastic captain.”

“I am extremely grateful to Chennai and have been with them for over 10 years. They have a special place in my heart and I have learned a lot from MS Dhoni, he is also a fantastic captain, so I am in a position where I can learn from two of the great leaders in Indian cricket, “he concluded.
