The virtual buzz around Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s likely weekend wedding has taken a physical form that is clearly evident from the view outside the Bollywood star couple’s residence, where the paparazzi are camping to catch the worst developments, with the families and the couple’s management teams love mom over the wedding.
Ranbir Kapoor (39) and Alia Bhatt are presumably ready to tie the knot this week in the presence of their family and close friends. However, so far there has been no official confirmation of the marriage date of both families.
Rumor has it, from the dates – one of the three April 14, 15 or 17 – to the wedding location, which is constantly changing from the iconic Chembur bungalow of the Kapoor family to the Vastu building of the couple in Pali Hill – a posh neighborhood in Bandra here.
While Ranbir Kapoor has a house in the Vastu building, Alia Bhatt presumably lives for rent in the same building, but on a different floor.
On a humid Monday afternoon, nearly 10 media photographers were stationed outside their residence, patiently waiting to capture any movement regarding the wedding.
As shutterbugs waited to catch a glimpse of the preparations from inside the apartment, the security team tied an enormous white curtain between the building’s gate and a tree, capturing an important view of where the paparazzi were accessing could to the entrance of the flat.
There were moments of jubilation when the battery of paparazzi designer clothes seen by renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, most often referred to as the “bride and groom’s wedding dress”, was brought into a cabin in the apartment complex.
When asked how the paparazzo was sure these were the couple’s clothes for the D-day, he said, “intuition”.
“It’s definitely related to the wedding, if it’s not her (Ranbir’s or Alia’s), then someone else’s. But these designer clothes arriving at a time like this will obviously lead to such speculation,” said a paparazzo, affiliated. with one of the most followed Instagram pages dedicated to sharing photos of celebrities.
The marriage speculation game served as entertainment for the security personnel of the actors, including Yusuf Ibrahim, the security manager of Alia Bhatt (29).
Ibrahim’s 911 Protection team is apparently tasked with overseeing the entire security of the wedding.
Even as the media struggled to get official word from the families, Ranbir Kapoor’s actor mother Neetu Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s filmmaker father Mahesh Bhatt were seen shooting for their respective obligations in the city.
However, neither Neetu Kapoor nor Mahesh Bhatt have released any details about the marriage.
Last night, the iconic RK Studios (founded by Ranbir Kapoor’s filmmaker grandfather Raj Kapoor, which was acquired by the reality company Godrej Properties in 2018) were lit up, leading many to believe that it marked the official start of the wedding supplies.
“Even if you put up a curtain or fix us nothing, we’ll find a way. We’ll show Ranbir-Alia’s wedding,” joked a paparazzo, before making way for a beautiful car he thought of a celebrity.
It was, however, a visibly annoyed resident, who hooted through the media, to enter the apartment building.
