As many as four people were booked for betting in the IPL match in Pune and an amount of Rs 27 lakh cash was seized, Pimpri Chinchwad police said.

According to police, the bet was dropped on Saturday night at Kalewadi and the FIR was registered in the case on Sunday.

The accused would bet on the match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans which was played on Saturday at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Police have registered FIR against four people, including a repeat offender.

Three out of four people have been arrested. Eight mobile phones and cash worth Rs 27 lakh were recovered.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Manchak Ippar said: “At a tip-off a raid was carried out in the Kalewadi area of ​​the Pimpri Chinchwad city in the Pune district and accused were re-arrested … the case is against them registered with the Wakad Police Bureau under IPC Sections 353 and 34, Telegraph Act and Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act. “
