Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) said on Tuesday that its total sales decreased by 19.97 percent to 3,54,209 in January 2022.
The manufacturer of two wheels had shipped 4,37,183 units in January 2021. HMSI Director (Sales and Marketing) Yadvinder Singh Guleria said in a statement.
However, visible signs of healthy recovery are appearing on the horizon and the company hopes that the rapid implementation in vaccinations, dip in daily COVID cases reported and easing constraints in states will help gain momentum in coming quarters, added hy.
“This year’s budget of the Union also reflects a growth-oriented approach with an impetus to infrastructure & inclusive development. The focus on capital expenditure will propel the economy in unison and is expected to multiplier effect, “said Guleria.
