APPSC Departmental Test 2021 Qualification Criteria

  • The staff of certain departments of Ward / Village Secretariat, Government of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for the tests prescribed in their respective departmental service rules.
  • Candidates intending to apply for the following tests should refer to their respective departments mentioned below.
  • The Village Surveyor Grade-III interviews will be in Telugu / English. The candidate must answer the paper in only one language, whether in English or Telugu. In case of non-compliance (i.e. partly English or partly Telugu) the answer sheet will be invalid.

APPSC Departmental Test 2021 Scheme

  • All Tests, except Survey Tests, will be in Objective Type in terms of GOMs.No.602, GA (Ser-C) Department, dated.01.11.2011.
  • The survey and settlement papers (PCNos.161 and 162) will be of conventional mode.
  • All objective-type papers will be held on computer-based departmental tests. (Instructions regarding this computer-based test are detailed in the Instruction Manual in Appendix -I)
  • Candidates who appear for Objective Type papers can use the Mock Test facility available on the Commission’s website to familiarize themselves with the Computer Based Tests.
  • Candidates appearing for conventional papers (descriptive exams) will be provided with a barcode sheet attached to answer books to answer with blue or black pen.
  • As per departmental test rules 1965, the maximum mark is 100 and the minimum qualification mark is 40.
  • As per departmental test rules 1965 for PC.No.137 and 142, the candidate must pass both papers at the same time, required minimum qualification mark is 40 in each paper
  • Duration of the exam: Target type papers – 2 hours (120 minutes), conventional type papers – 3 hours (180 minutes)

APPSC Departmental Test Application Fee

  • The fee for each paper is Rs. 500 / – (only five hundred Rupees) according to GOMs.No.121, GA (Ser-C) Department, Dt.17.09.2020.
  • The applicant will pay Rs. 500 / – (Rupees Five Hundred Only) for the application fee, in addition to the exam fee.

Mode of payment

  • The fee mentioned in the above paragraph can be paid online with Payment Gateway using Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card. The list of banks providing services for the purpose of online transfer of fees will be available on the Commission’s website.
  • The fee once transferred will under no circumstances be refunded or adjusted. Failure to pay the exam fee and application fee (in non-exempt cases) will result in the complete rejection of the application.
  • IPOs / Demand Drafts are not accepted.

APPSC Departmental Test Application Form

  • Applicants are required to complete all relevant columns of the application and submit only one application through the Website. The data made available on the website will be processed through the computer and the qualification decided in terms of notification.
  • The requests received online in the prescribed pro forma available on the website and within the time will only be considered and the Commission will not be held responsible for any kind of discrepancy.
  • Applicants will need to upload his / her scanned photo and signature in JPEG format and the size will be only for Photo of 3.5Cms X 4.5Cms (
  • Applicants should not provide data that is false, manipulated, fabricated, or suppresses material information in making his / her application through the Website.
  • Important – Applicants’ claim regarding the qualification for the test, the applied tests are pre-accepted on the information provided by them in their application form and are subject to verification and satisfaction by the Commission according to the qualification conditions. Only access to each test will not entitle the candidate to the final result. Candidacy is therefore provisional at all stages and the Commission reserves the right to reject candidacy at any stage.

APPSC Departmental Test 2021 – Publication of results

  • The results of the candidates who are initially declared to have passed the tests will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Commission Office and also hosted on the Commission’s official website “https: // psc.ap.gov.in “, which would be considered an authentic publication for extending all the benefits to the candidates who have been provisionally declared to have passed the Tests, vide GOMs.No.591, General Administration (Services-A ) department, dt: 20-10-2011.
  • No individual Pass Certificate will be issued to the candidates by the Commission.

How do you apply for APPSC Departmental Test 2021?

  • Step 1: Candidates first applying for a notification must first carefully complete the OTPR application to obtain OTPR ID. When completing the OTPR, the candidates should make sure that no mistakes are made. The Commission shall not be liable for any errors, if any, made by the candidates. (If candidates already have an OTPR ID number, they can proceed to STEP-II.)
  • Step 2: The applicant must log in to the Commission’s website with the username (OTPR ID) and password set by candidate. After registration, the applicant must click on the “Submit Online Application” located at the bottom right of the Commission’s website.
    Payment Process: The applicant must now click on the payment link against Notification No.07 / 2021. The basic details required for the calculation of the fee will be populated in advance from the OTPR data. The applicant must verify all the details that were displayed. Once the payment form has been submitted, the respective details (Used for calculation of fee) will not be changed at any stage of application processing. Therefore, if details need to be changed, an applicant would need to use the OTPR link change, change the details, save it and click on the payment link for request again.
  • Step 3: After checking all the data and making sure that the data is correct, the applicant has to fill in application-specific data. Once all the details have been filled in properly, the applicant has to submit the payment form. Upon successful submission, the payment reference ID will be created and displayed on the screen. By clicking “OK”, the applicant will be shown the various payment options where he / she can select anyone among them and complete the payment process as given on the screen.
  • Step 4: Once the payment is successful, a payment reference ID is created. Candidates can note down the Payment Reference ID for future correspondence. Thereafter, the applicant is directed to the application form. Applicant must generate the payment reference ID along with the other details required to complete the application form (other fields such as OTPR ID and personal details will be pre-filled from the data submitted in the payment form for respective notification). The applicant must check the displayed data in detail and must fill in the application-specific fields such as details of paper code, examination center, etc., carefully and submit the application form. Once the application has been successfully submitted, the application receipt will be created. The applicant is asked to print the proof of application and save it for future reference / correspondence.
  • Step 5: In any case, if the payment process is not submitted successfully, then the applicant should start the new payment process as mentioned in STEP-II.
